The University Librarians Association of Sri Lanka (ULA) has conducted its 15th International Conference on 02nd October 2025 at Galle Face Hotel, Colombo. The conference theme was “Navigating disinformation and misinformation: what’s next in librarianship?” which attracted more than 20 papers categorized under Invited Paper Session and four Technical Sessions. The conference was graced by the Chief Guest, Professor Indika Mahesh Karunathilake, the Vice Chancellor of University of Colombo. Two eminent keynote speakers were invited, namely, Professor Roshan G. Ragel from University of Peradeniya and Professor Simon Burnett from Robert Gordon University, Scotland, UK. Professor Ragel was presenting on the fast-evolving AI technologies in the information realm, while Professor Burnett shed his intriguing research on dark knowledge and its impact on humanity. Invited paper session included interesting topics of LIS scholars from countries like USA, India, Pakistan, and Thailand, where eminent scholars from the library sector shared their concepts and concerns with respect to the application of AI in research and learning. Dr C.C. Jayasundara, the Librarian of University of Kelaniya, was given a special honorary award for his outstanding achievements in the LIS research domain. Dr (Mrs.) Pradeepa Wijetunge, the Librarian of University of Colombo, served as the Conference Chair. Mr. T Ramanan, the General Secretary to the ULA served as the Conference Secretary, and Ms. Hiruni Kanchana, Deputy Librarian of Sir John Kotelawala Defense University, served as the Co-Secretary of the Conference. Dr PKS Manatunga, Dr C.J. Wijesundara, and Dr M.P.L.R. Marasinghe were the Editors of the ICULA 2025 Proceedings. The event was generously sponsored by the EBSCO Information Services, Crossref, DrillBit, Ijournet, Hayleys Fentons, Emerald Publishing, ELCOME, Sarasavi Bookshop, Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation, Vextop Holdings, and Bentham Science. There were 90 participants recorded to have attended the conference. The best oral presentation award was given to Ms Nadeeka Rathnabahu and the best research paper award was given to Ms Nadeesha Perera.
