Guidelines for Short Video Competition

We are thrilled to announce a Video Competition for Sri Lankan Undergraduates and School Students. This competition is organized parallel to the International Conference of University Librarians Association of Sri Lanka – ICULA 2024. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their work to an international audience! There is no entry fee.

Task:

Create a short video on the theme "Artificial Intelligence: Transforming the Future Learning and Library Services".

Show us your ideas and solutions on how AI can shape a better tomorrow! Promote reading culture and leaning through library resources in AI age.

Eligible Categories

• Undergraduates
• School Students

Submission Deadline: 30th August, 2024

Prizes

• 1 st Place: Rs. 20,000/= and a Certificate of Excellence
• 2 nd Place: Rs. 15,000/= and a Certificate of Achievement
• 3 rd Place: Rs. 10,000/= and a Certificate of Merit

* All qualified entries receive a participation certificate.

Submission Guidelines

1. Video Length: 3 minutes
2. Maximum size: 50 Mb
3. Format: MP4
4. Language: In English language.

Rules and Regulations

1. Videos must adhere to the theme "Artificial Intelligence: Transforming the Future Learning and Library Services".
2. Each video must be originals and not publish before anywhere including social media.
3. Any recording device such as mobile phone, digital camera or professional video camera can be used for recording.
4. Participants can use any video editing software.
5. Use of music or voice in the video is optional. Must avoid all copyrighted content which you do not own
6. Each participant or group (maximum 5 members) can submit only one video. For the group work, each video must have one Lead Contributor to serve as the main point of contact. You are requested to provide role of each contributor.
7. By submitting a video, participants grant University Librarians Association of Sri Lanka the right to use, share, and promote the video.
8. Best videos will be selected based on their topic relevancy, originality, creativity and video quality.
9. Inappropriate content or content that does not adhere to the guidelines will be disqualified.
10. The decision of the judges is final and binding.
11. Immediate relatives of current ULA members are ineligible to enter the video competition.
